Scalable Homeland Innovative Enterprise Layered Defense (SHIELD)

MDA SHIELD is a multi-award contracting framework enabling DoD components to acquire classified and unclassified technologies that support a multi-domain, layered defensive architecture. SHIELD covers innovation spanning air, missile, space, cyber, and hybrid threats, with an explicit goal of rapid delivery of new capabilities to the warfighter.

This indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract is designed to:

Accelerate capability development through commercial and dual-use innovation.
Enable rapid contracting for emerging threats and evolving mission needs.
Build the foundation for the MDA-led "Golden Dome" homeland defense architecture, integrating government and commercial capabilities.
Expand competition through continuous on-ramping.
